    Jane Taylor, PhD

Jane is the Charles B.G. Murphy Professor of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience. Her fascination with the brain began after reading Colin Blakemore’s Mechanics of the Mind, which inspired her to pursue neuroscience research. Jane is passionate about mentoring students and loves working collaboratively. She’s a “foodie” who enjoys cooking for friends and family.

  • Portrait of a young Asian man in a navy suit and light blue shirt, smiling outdoors in front of a blurred modern brick building.

    Songjun (Will) Li, MD, PhD

Will is a NRTP psychiatry resident interested in understanding the neural circuitry underlying socio-affective dysfunction and designing novel therapeutics to restore prosocial decision-making. He loves spending time outdoors and with family.

  • A man with glasses and a beard smiling outdoors on a sunny day, wearing a dark blue sweater and gray pants, standing in front of a building with glass windows.

    Henry Kietzman, MD, PhD

Henry (he/him) is a research-track psychiatry resident in the Neuroscience Research Training Program (NRTP). He is interested in how social experiences change the brain, affecting later choices. He has a cat named Bonnie, who just turned 10 years old.

  • A woman with glasses and shoulder-length black hair smiling outdoors in front of a building with glass doors and windows.

    Boram Cho, PhD

Boram is an Associate Research Scientist, interested in how drug-cue memories and their underlying neural circuits contribute to cocaine seeking and finding ways to weaken these maladaptive memories. She likes cooking new dishes and trying new foods.

  • Emily Burke

Emily is a INP PhD student studying the role of norepinephrine in valence processing and associative learning. Outside of lab, she enjoys bouldering, pickleball, and hiking.

  • Tess Reichard

Tess is a neuroscience PhD student studying play behavior and social cooperation in rats. Outside of lab, she enjoys weightlifting, hiking with her dog, and spending time outside with friends.

  • A young woman with long red hair and fair skin smiling outdoors in front of a modern glass building.

    Renee (Allie) Cauchon

Genevieve is a PGA currently applying to PhD programs, after spending 4 years as a varsity student-athlete on the Yale Swimming and Diving team. She is broadly interested in reinforcement learning, flexible decision making, and memory. Her favorite Taylor swift era is Midnights.

  • Young man with brown hair smiling outdoors in front of a building with glass doors.

    Ian Acheson

Ian is a PGA primarily focused on memory reconsolidation in rodent models of cocaine use disorder. He is a long-distance runner and love the outdoors as well as science fiction books. He is currently applying to PhD programs in Neuroscience.

  • Stephanie Yang

Stephanie is an undergraduate at Northeastern University majoring in neuroscience with a minor in ethics. She hopes to pursue an MD-PhD and is interested in the effects of early life stress on corticostriatal circuitry, as well as the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. Outside the lab, she enjoys reading, crocheting, and singing.

  • A young man with red hair and a mustache standing outdoors in front of a building with large windows, wearing a layered jacket and denim shirt.

    Hugo Lehrach

Hugo is a Yale undergraduate student majoring in neuroscience in the pre-med track. He is currently doing a senior thesis project exploring social cooperative behavior as a novel intervention for addiction. He is a singer, guitarist, and drummer in the New Haven area.

  • Andy Chen

Andy is an undergraduate student at Columbia University pursuing Economics and Cognitive Sciences, with an interest in decision making. He is originally from New Haven and enjoys trying new restaurants in his free time.
